Lacrosse continues to be the fastest-growing sport in the United States! In North Texas, boy’s lacrosse has grown dramatically since the early 90s when only a few teams played in the State. All totaled, there are now over 87 high school teams signed up to play lacrosse in the Texas High School Lacrosse League North Division (http://thsll.org/district?district=101) / 253 teams in the state and over 170 teams for the 2016 Youth spring season (Bantam (grades 1-4) and Youth (grades 5-8))!
The North Texas Lacrosse Association (NTLOA) officiates Bantam and Youth Games in DFW and the Southwest Lacrosse Officials (SWLOA) officiates High School Games in Texas. The typical lacrosse season is February – April, however tournament and pickup games are scheduled throughout the year.
In addition to having the best seat in the house, lacrosse officials run about four to five miles per game so it’s a great way to stay in shape and you can earn extra money while doing something you love! No lacrosse experience is necessary, we will train you. Officials from other sports are encouraged to join! We have an excellent training and mentor program. You can learn game from experienced trainers in the classroom and veteran officials on the field. Classes are held in the in January and early February prior to the start of the spring season.
If you have interest, please download this form, open in Acrobat (MS Edge will not work), fill it out and follow instructions for its return.
